Our menu staple, the “Surf and Turf,” will be featured on Food Network’s “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” on Friday, March 5 at 9 pm CST.
The “Guilty Pleasures” segment is hosted by Memphis native Claire Robinson and features me preparing (and Claire enjoying!) this decadent dish.
Our Surf and Turf is a grilled New York strip stuffed with fried oysters and bleu cheese over a sautee of Yukon potatoes, Allen Benton’s bacon and thyme. Topped with bordelaise, hollandaise, and fried sage.
Tune in or set your DVR… you don’t want to miss this!

WOW, I just saw the segment with your surf and turf. I am planning a trip to Memphis just for that. Don’t know when, but it will not be soon enough.

I just saw the re-run of the surf and turf segment. I am from West Memphis, AR, and my parents still live there. I emailed them immediately to ask them if they had ever been to your restaurant and said that I wanted to go the next time I was there! It just looks so good!!!

I have now watched it twice. WOW. I was so stunned the first time I had to watch it again to make sure that I was not seeing things. We will have to make the trip to Memphis.

I saw this and now you are on my list of places to visit when I return home to visit. Looks “lulicious”.

FANTASTIC! We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner, especially the Lobster Knuckle Sandwich and the Surf and Turf. Your place just felt like home – supre fine dining with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon. And please thank Jeff for sharing his delicious carrot cake. YUM!

we saw the show last night and my husband asked me what did
I do all day? Why didn’t I make anything good like the Surf and
Turf. He said that dish will be on his list before he die.
Aida

All I can say is OMG!! I’ve decided that when I’m near
death, I’m taking he trek to Iris in Memphis so I can die a happy
woman… I became allergic to shellfish around puberty, otherwise
I’d be on a plane now. I can’t get the image of the “surf and turf”
out of my head! It looks DELICIOUS!! Fried oysters AND NY strip AND
hollandaise? YUM
